About Us
Inc. to Inc. (Incarcerated to Incorporated) a 501(c)3 not for profit, is a smart justice and micro-business development organization. Via our Empowerment Programs, we provide innovative, agile and culturally relatable smart justice and economic justice solutions that empower marginalized and disenfranchised communities negatively affected by the current criminal justice system and mass incarceration.
THE WHY!
“From Incarcerated to Incorporated: Empowering Justice-Impacted Entrepreneurs”
The War on Drugs has led to mass incarceration and systemic barriers, yet within prison walls lie individuals with untapped potential and entrepreneurial aspirations. Approximately 50% of federal inmates possess the drive and transferable business skills to become successful entrepreneurs. Despite facing stigma, lack of capital, and legal hurdles, their journey from incarceration to incorporation can transform lives and communities. By supporting these aspiring justice-impacted entrepreneurs, we empower them to achieve self-sufficiency, stimulate economic growth, and inspire social change. Successful businesses started by formerly incarcerated individuals can create jobs, revitalize communities, and reduce recidivism, contributing to safer and more vibrant neighborhoods.

America’s Shameful Statistics
Nearly one out of every 100 people in the United States is in a prison or jail.” We’re often asked what percent of the U.S. population is behind bars. The answer: About 0.7% of the United States is currently in a federal or state prison or local jail. If this number seems unworthy of the term “mass incarceration,” consider that 0.7% is just shy of 1%, or one out of a hundred.
