Entrepreneur Pathway
How It Works
Step 1 — Entrepreneur Assessment
Justice-impacted participants complete assessments to identify skills, passions, and viable business models.
Step 2 — Dual Education Track
Participants complete:
- Workforce technical credential programs
- Entrepreneurship training modules
This ensures founders have both the operational skill base and ownership knowledge they need.
Step 3 — Mentorship Incubation
Entrepreneurs receive coaching support, market testing guidance, and accountability oversight as business strategies are finalized.
Step 4 — Business Formation & Market Entry
Startup businesses are formally created:
- LLC / EIN filings
- Compliance and insurance preparation
- Service menu creation
- Branding development
- First customer acquisition
Step 5 — Community Commerce & Scaling
As businesses grow:
- Entrepreneurs hire employees
- Reinforce crime-reduction outcomes
- Build generational assets
- Circulate income in their local communities
WHY ENTREPRENEURSHIP MATTERS
Employment provides income. Business ownership creates generational wealth.
Justice-impacted individuals deserve more than wage jobs.
Entrepreneurship fosters:
- Autonomy
- Stability
- Leadership development
- Community reinvestment
- Reduced recidivism
Business ownership addresses financial inequality at the root — not just the surface.
